A few useful answers.

What kind of books can I make?

FolioSmith focuses on text interiors: novels, memoirs, essays, and other chapter-based manuscripts. It supports front and back cover images, headings, emphasis, lists, scene breaks, and front matter. Imported tables, footnotes, and inline image layouts are not supported.

Can I use it offline?

You can import, edit, save, and export EPUB locally. Preview and PDF use the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. Microsoft Store connectivity is needed to obtain or refresh purchase licenses.

Is the Pro upgrade a subscription?

No. Pro is a permanent durable add-on purchased through Microsoft Store. Use Restore purchase in Settings with the Microsoft account that owns it.

Will my manuscript be uploaded?

No. FolioSmith stores your work on your PC. If you choose a cloud-synced folder for a backup or export, the separate sync service controls that copy.

Does a PDF mean my book is ready for any printer?

The app produces a print interior PDF in two trim sizes. Review its margins, pagination, fonts, and your printer’s requirements before uploading. FolioSmith does not generate a cover wrap.

When can I get FolioSmith?

The first Microsoft Store submission is being prepared. This site describes version 1.0.0; it does not offer a direct installer or accept payments. Check the release notes for updates.
